Our Substitution Policy Fresh Flowers At Just Flowers we are committed to delivering your important emotional sentiments on time and as fresh and beautiful as possible. Because of the nature, seasonality, and regional availability of flowers it is sometimes necessary to make substitutions of equal or greater value. We will make every effort to maintain the "look and feel" of the arrangement by considering the overall shape, size, style, and color combinations. In single-variety arrangements the variety will take precedence over color. For instance, if an order is for yellow daisies, they will substitute another color of daisies, not another yellow flower. Plants For green and blooming plants, similar plants may be substituted of equal or greater value. For one-of-a-kind plants, such as orchids, we will make every attempt to match the plant type, but may substitute with another color. Containers for plants will be as close as possible. Gift Baskets Substitutions within a basket may be made with items of greater or equal value if necessary to guarantee freshness and timely delivery. Flower Delivery Information " If you order by 2:30 pm in the recipient's time zone, we can deliver the flowers the same day. When orders are received after 2:30 pm, we will try our best to get your order prepared, but if we cannot, we will call you asap. (Normally within 30 minutes of your order). " We are unable to guarantee delivery at a specific time, but we are normally able to deliver within a time frame of a few hours. The normal delivery times are 9am-5pm daily. " Funeral orders are our very highest priority. If you have ordered too late to make the funeral service we will call to let you know quickly so that you can make other arrangements or have something sent to the home of the family. " Florist delivered flowers have a care and handling charge between $6.99 and $11.99. There is a $6.99 fee for ordering flowers and gifts on the telephone so please save some money and order online! Caring For Your Roses o Unpack your roses immediately. o Fill a clean vase with water and add ½ package of the flower preservative that was included with the roses. o Remove all of the leaves that will be under water in the vase. Submerged leaves will rot and create bacteria, shortening the life of the roses. o In a sink or bowl recut the stem of each rose under water using a sharp knife or scissors. Place the rose in the vase immediately. This prevents air pockets from forming inside the stems which block water uptake into the flowers. Recut every three days or so adding the remainder of the flower preservative. o If a rose should wilt prematurely recut the stem under water as instructed above and immediately return to the vase. This will remove any air pockets and the rose should very quickly return to a healthy upright position. Arranging Your Roses o Attractively arranging you roses in a vase is more easily achieved if a grid is used. A grid provides you with more placement control than trying to arrange the roses in an open vase. If you have your own vase without a grid the same effect can be created by criss crossing several pieces of tape across the top of the vase. o Begin arranging with the fern that came with your roses. o Next add the roses one at a time.
